Note: Post-update, your R Tracker will NOT wake up until the L Tracker is turned on first. This is an intended improvement, not a malfunction. Please read the details below.
At INSAIT JOY, we continuously refine our algorithms and firmware to give you a smoother, more reliable experience. Based on valuable feedback from our community, we are rolling out Firmware Version 0.6.1, which introduces a critical improvement to how your R Tracker powers on.
What’s Changed?
Previously, the L Tracker (button-press activation) and R Tracker (shake-to-wake activation) operated independently of each other. This meant that the R Tracker could be accidentally triggered by movement during transit or storage—even when the L Tracker was completely powered off. This occasionally led to unnecessary battery drain before you even stepped onto the pitch.
With the v0.6.1 firmware, we are introducing a sequential start-up workflow: The R Tracker will now only respond to the "shake-to-wake" gesture when the L Tracker is already powered on.
Why This Upgrade Matters
- Optimized Battery Allocation: By eliminating false triggers, we ensure that both trackers retain their charge when you need them—during actual training and matches.
- Smarter Power Management: This change aligns the trackers’ active states, preventing the R Tracker from consuming power in your bag or pocket.
Important Notice for Existing Users (Please Read):
We understand that you are accustomed to the original setup. After updating to v0.6.1, you might notice that shaking the R Tracker does not wake it up immediately. Please do not be alarmed—this is not a product defect.
To power on your Smart Shin Guards after this update, please follow the new standard procedure:
- Press the button on the L Tracker to turn it on first.
- Once the L Tracker is active, shake the R Tracker firmly to wake it up.
Both trackers will connect as usual, and you are ready to play. This simple adjustment will significantly extend your device's standby time.
How to Update
- Make sure both L and R trackers of your Smart Shin Guards are powered on and have sufficient battery. We strongly recommend fully charging them before you begin the firmware update.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and open the INSAIT JOY App.
- Navigate to Me > My Smart Shin Guards, tap Firmware to check for the latest update, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install v0.6.1.
- During the update, please do not operate your phone or the trackers. Keep both trackers close to your phone to ensure a stable connection. The whole process takes just a few minutes.
